Deux messages vidéos sur la liberté de la presse au Viêt-Nam : Nguyen Thi Ngoc Quynh et Nguyen Van Hai

La chaîne VOA (Voice of America) a publié le 2 mai 2023 deux courts messages vidéos lus par deux anciens dissidents aujourd’hui, expulsés du Viêt-Nam et aujourd’hui exilés au Etats-Unis. Série : “A Free Press Matters”

Message de Nguyen Van Hai

Vietnamese blogger Nguyen Van Hai, also known as Dieu Cay, lives in exile in the U.S. A founding member of the Free Journalists Club in Vietnam, Hai served two years of a 12-year prison sentence for his work before being freed and deported to the U.S. in 2014.

Message de Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Quynh

Known as “Mother Mushroom,” the Vietnamese blogger Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Quynh lives in exile in Houston, Texas. While in Vietnam, Quynh was sentenced to 10 years in prison for “conducting propaganda against state”— a common accusation filed against critics. In 2017, she received a U.S. International Women of Courage Award.
